Experience

Piano Tutoring:

Geoffrey has over 12 years experience teaching piano to students of all ages, across a wide variety of genres. Specialising in the AMEB syllabus, Geoffrey also teaches contemporary styles such as pop & music theatre, with lessons tailored to the individual student – providing a fun, intuitive and engaging learning environment. Geoffrey is currently employed by St Michael’s Grammar School as a piano teacher, accompanist/repetiteur and musical director.

Accompaniment:

Geoffrey has professional sight-reading competency and a breadth of experience accompanying performers of all ages and levels, in the following settings:

  • Musical theatre auditions & rehearsals
  • AMEB vocal and instrumental examinations (up to and including A-Mus)
  • VCE accompaniment (vocal and instrumental)
  • Choral accompaniment
  • Orchestral & chamber ensemble accompaniment
  • Concert and Eisteddfod accompaniment
  • Funeral mass services

Musical Theatre:

Geoffrey has acted as Musical Director/Co-MD for the following independent productions:
