Geoff began learning the piano at 4 years old, moving through AMEB exams and competing regularly in Eisteddfods. From age 8, he began accompanying his sister Lizzy on the violin. During secondary school, Geoff finished an ATCL Piano Diploma while picking up the trombone and repetiteuring for school productions.

While studying a business degree at RMIT, Geoff moonlighted as an accompanist, piano teacher and musical director. After uni Geoff moved into full-time employment as a musician and music tutor.

Geoff has worked across Melbourne in schools, independent theatre companies and community choirs, in addition to playing for all manner of events such as weddings, funerals, examinations and concerts. Geoff’s school experience includes St Michael’s Grammar School, Ivanhoe Grammar and Marymede Catholic College.

In teaching and accompanying students, Geoff is a strong believer in tailoring sessions to the individual student and providing a compassionate, encouraging space to learn and grow as a performer.
